Gomoku Forge

A free Gomoku and Renju app for Windows and browser. Play against a local AI, look back over a game, and practise positions from your own games.

What you can do

• Play on a 15 × 15 board. Choose Black or White, and Freestyle or Renju rules with forbidden moves for Black.
• Review a game with local analysis: compare the actual move, the recommended move and the engine's main continuation.
• Use From Your Games after full-game analysis to find confirmed learning moments. Open the original position, practise it, save the result and return to it later.
• Work through attack, defense, threat recognition and rules exercises.
• Save, import and export games. Keep learning records and retrain earlier moments.

Difficulty names are labels, not official ranks. Higher-tier games imported into the browser keep their board and source information, but subsequent AI play uses Normal.

Learning and analysis

Analysis runs locally under a fixed calculation budget. It gives an engine recommendation; it does not explain every move in real time or certify a win probability or playing rank.

From Your Games uses your game data. A scan may find learning moments, find none, or ask you to finish the game or analysis first. Source Replay shows the original game context. Using a hint or revealing an answer is recorded as exposure to the solution.

Advanced Review is in development / Coming Soon and cannot be started in 1.8. Online play is unavailable. Friends rooms, matchmaking, ranking and cloud sync are directions under consideration, with no development date promised. Favorites filtering is unavailable.

Settings

Choose 简体中文, 繁體中文 or English from the header or Settings; your choice stays after refresh. The interface is Light only. Classic and Studio change the board and stones independently of the app interface. Settings and game shortcuts share sound and animation preferences.

Local records and offline use

Games, settings and learning records stay on the current device or browser. There is no automatic cloud sync. Export important games before updating or clearing site data; a game export is not a backup of all learning history.

Web use needs a connection at first. Background music and the larger optional analysis engine load on first use and can be reused after loading. Unloaded resources cannot start offline. Storage and offline use in an embedded page depend on the browser and host. Desktop use is recommended; narrow layouts are supported, but this is not a separate mobile app.

Browser use downloads application assets from its host. The hosting platform has its own privacy policy. The app does not automatically send your games or learning records. You choose what to include in a support email.

Downloads, license and support

Current version: 1.8.0, build f83de02. Windows uses Electron 43.7.6. It is an unsigned portable application with manual updates; see the installation instructions below.

The application is MIT licensed. Rapfi, network files, music and Noto Sans keep their own licenses: GPLv3, CC0, CC BY 2.5 and SIL OFL 1.1. Notices are included in the packages. The separate Rapfi GPLv3 Corresponding Source download contains the source, networks, build configuration and instructions for the distributed engine. It is not a Gomoku Forge application source archive.

设置

顶部和设置页均可选择简体中文、繁體中文或 English，刷新后保持选择。应用只提供浅色界面。Classic / Studio 单独改变棋盘与棋子，不改变应用界面；声音和动画的设置与对局快捷控制同步。

本地记录与离线使用

棋谱、设置与学习记录保存在当前设备或浏览器，不自动云同步。更新或清除站点数据前，请导出重要棋谱；棋谱导出不等于备份全部学习历史。

网页首次使用需要联网。背景音乐和较大的可选分析引擎在首次使用时加载，加载后可复用；未下载的资源不能离线首次使用。嵌入页的存储与离线能力受浏览器和宿主平台影响。建议桌面使用；支持窄屏布局，但没有独立移动应用。

浏览器会从宿主平台下载应用资源，平台有自己的隐私政策。应用不会自动发送你的棋谱或学习记录；支持邮件的内容由你决定。

設定

頂部與設定頁都能選擇简体中文、繁體中文或 English，重新整理後保留選擇。應用僅提供淺色介面。Classic / Studio 可單獨更換棋盤及棋子，不改變應用介面；設定頁與對局快捷控制共用聲音和動畫偏好。

本機紀錄與離線使用

棋譜、設定與學習紀錄儲存在目前裝置或瀏覽器，不會自動同步至雲端。更新或清除網站資料前，請匯出重要棋譜；棋譜匯出不是所有學習歷史的完整備份。

網頁首次使用須連線。背景音樂及較大的選用分析引擎會在首次使用時載入，之後可以重用；未下載的資源不能首次離線使用。嵌入頁的儲存及離線能力取決於瀏覽器與宿主平台。建議使用桌面裝置；支援窄螢幕版面，但沒有獨立行動應用。

瀏覽器會從宿主平台下載應用資源，平台另有自己的隱私政策。應用不會自動傳送你的棋譜或學習紀錄；支援郵件的內容由你決定。
